Acropolis Rally moves from Lamia to Loutraki for 2026

The organizers of Acropolis Rally moved the rally centre of their event from Lamia to Loutraki for 2026.

Acropolis Rally returned back to the World Rally Championship in 2021 and Lamia was the host city from 2021 to 2025. However, the organizers made a bold move by picking Loutraki city as the new rally centre of next year's Acropolis Rally. This means that it is very likely to see new stages running to World Rally Championship from 2026 which will make the sport more spectacular as the crews will have to make new pacenotes. Ott Tanak was the winner of this year's Acropolis Rally winning for the first time the Greek event.

"When the WRC returned to Greece in 2021 for the EKO Acropolis Rally, it was with the intention that the event could, from time to time, relocate to maximise its remarkable sporting heritage and the significant economic impact that a WRC round brings to each host country and region", Simon Larkin said.

"Lamia has been an excellent home for the past five years.

"In line with the Minister's vision and his team’s, we are now bringing the heart of the rally to Loutraki, closer to Athens.

"Loutraki offers a rich variety of stage opportunities, easier access for new audiences, and additional tourism potential".
