Rally Great Britain is likely to return back in World Rally Championship since 2019 as Scotland is set to host a WRC round from 2027.
The Rally of Great Britain is likely to make its long-awaited return to the World Rally Championship (WRC) in 2027, as Motorsport UK has reportedly secured a new host location. The event is expected to take place in the northeast of Scotland, with stages running through the regions of Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, and Moray.
According to recent reports, the rally’s headquarters will be based in Aberdeen, where the service park will be hosted at the city’s P&J Live complex. The financial agreement behind the event involves three main parties: the Scottish Government, Aberdeenshire Council, and Moray Council.
Motorsport UK, in collaboration with EventScotland and the WRC Promoter, selected Aberdeen as the ideal location for the rally’s comeback to the WRC calendar. If finalized, Scotland is set to host the Rally of Great Britain for a three-year period, marking the country’s return to the global rallying spotlight and reigniting one of the championship’s most iconic events.
