At the end of Sunday, Takamoto Katsuta wins his first ever WRC event with Toyota in World Rally Championship with Adrien Fourmaux and Sami Pajari following him.
Takamoto Katsuta finished at the top step of the podium for the first time in his WRC career and managed to stay calm today despite Adrien Fourmaux's intentions to put pressure on him. Also, he did not take any stage win this weekend, but Japan returned back to the rally wins since 1992.
The Frenchman stopped Toyota's domination this season as he secures the first podium for Hyundai at the 2026 WRC season despite the fact that he suffered from a front left puncture in Stage 18.
Sami Pajari does the 1-3 for Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT and this is his second consecutive podium with Toyota in a WRC season.
Esapekka Lappi keeps his fourth position overall and had a high oil temperature alert in Stage 19.
Jon Armstrong remained outside the top ten and was the only M-Sport Ford driver who managed to finish Safari Rally Kenya as Josh McErlean retired with engine issues after the midnight service on Saturday.
Sebastien Ogier, Elfyn Evans and Oliver Solberg restarted today under the SuperRally regulations and set the fastest time in Stage 17, 18 and 19 respectively.
Solberg completes the top ten and was the driver who collected the ten extra points for the championship on Sunday.
Hyundai Motorsport prepared Thierry Neuville's car for Sunday following his retirement due to a driveshaft issue on Saturday afternoon.
