The organizers of Rally Japan announced the entries of their event which reach the 32.
For a third consecutive round, Toyota will compete with five cars at Rally Japan which will be driven by Sebastien Ogier, Elfyn Evans, Oliver Solberg, Sami Pajari and Takamoto Katsuta. On the other hand, Hyundai chose Hayden Paddon for Rally Japan who will make his third outing of the season with the i20N Rally1 and will support Adrien Fourmaux and Thierry Neuville on this tarmac event. Finally, M-Sport Ford will bring only two Puma Rally1 cars for Josh McErlean and Jon Armstrong as Martins Sesks's programme includes his participation on seven gravel rallies.
The WRC2 participants are 12 with the most important being Nikolay Gryazin with Lancia Ypsilon HF Rally2. Alejandro Cachon, Diego Dominguez and Yuki Yamamoto will drive a Toyota GR Yaris Rally2 whereas Emil Lindholm will get behind the wheel of a Skoda Fabia RS Rally2. Finally, M-Sport Ford has chosen Romet Jurgenson to take part at Rally Japan with the Fiesta MKII Rally2.
