At the end of Saturday morning, Sebastien Ogier remains the rally leader in Finland with Sami Pajari and Oliver Solberg following him.
Sebastien Ogier is still leading Rally Finland after 14 stages and managed his lead on Saturday morning as he did not respond to Elfyn Evans's and Sami Pajari's attack. In fact, Ogier's lead is now at 22,7 seconds ahead of the second Pajari as the Frenchman set the fastest time in SS14.
Sami Pajari moves up to second place overall and was the fastest driver in Stage 12 and 13, but he has a difficult task in the afternoon if he wants to catch Ogier and to secure his second win in his WRC career.
Oliver Solberg does the 1-2-3 for Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT and faced some intercom issues in Stage 12.
Adrien Fourmaux completes the top four and reported pain on his back after Stage 14 which was caused by one big jump.
Elfyn Evans dropped from second to fifth overall in Stage 14 as he lost the rear and rolled his Yaris on the final corner of SS14. In fact, he was up on the splits in SS14, but he completed the stage after one minute as his car was stuck into a ditch and many spectators helped him and Scott Martin to get going again. Last but not least, it must be mentioned that Evans was the fastest driver in SS11 and was chasing Ogier for the lead of Rally Finland as their gap was at 11,6 seconds in favor of Ogier.
Takamoto Katsuta passed Josh McErlean in Stage 11 for the seventh place overall and was ahead of the M-Sport driver for 3,6 seconds after SS11. After Martins Sesks's roll, Katsuta gained one position and is now sixth while McErlean is now the highest-placed driver for M-Sport Ford as he is seventh.
Thierry Neuville is in eighth place overall following his incident in Stage 5 of Rally Finland and his target is to overtake Katsuta and McErlean in the afternoon as he is behind the seventh McErlean for 9,3 seconds.
Martins Sesks was in fifth place overall and was keeping Fourmaux behind as their gap was at 12 seconds in favor of the M-Sport Ford driver after the end of Stage 13. However, the Latvian lost the rear and rolled his Puma Rally1 1,6Km into SS14 while it must be mentioned that his stage times were outside the top six.
Jon Armstrong restarted today under the SuperRally regulations and is the driver who was cleaning the roads for the frontrunners this morning. Μoreover, the Irishman went wide on a juction 4Km into SS14.
