Rally Sardinia - 1st Day: Solberg leads the 1-2-3-4 for Toyota as Sordo takes a 20-second time penalty

At the end of Thursday, Oliver Solberg takes an early lead at Rally Sardinia with Sebastien Ogier and Elfyn Evans following him.

Oliver Solberg sets the fastest time in Stage 1 in front of many rally fans and is leading Rally Sardinia having a 0,8-second advantage over the second Sebastien Ogier.

Three tenths of a second separate the third Elfyn Evans from the second Ogier as the Welshman's goal is to stay out of trouble this weekend in order to become the 2026 WRC Champion.

Sami Pajari does the 1-2-3-4 for Toyota Gazoo Racing and is just 0,4 seconds behind Evans.

Thierry Neuville sits in fifth position overall and is the best driver for Hyundai Motorsport as he is 2,3 seconds behind the first Solberg.

Takamoto Katsuta is sixth overall and kept Adrien Fourmaux behind at seventh place for 0,3 seconds.

Jon Armstrong and Josh McErlean complete the top 9.

Martins Sesks and Dani Sordo are outside the top ten with the last one taking a 20-second time penalty for a jump start in Stage 1 and for checking one minute late at TC 0.
