Rally Spain - Shakedown: Ogier edges Evans in the 1-2 for Toyota



At the end of Shakedown of Rally Spain, Sebastien Ogier topped the Shakedown times with Elfyn Evans and Thierry Neuville following his pace.


Sebastien Ogier was the fastest driver in the Shakedown session of Rally Spain setting the fastest time in the third pass from this stage.


Elfyn Evans competes the 1-2 for Toyota and he was only two tenths of a second slower than his teammate, Ogier.


Thierry Neuville completes the top three and his target for this weekend is the win as he mentioned at the end of the first pass from SD after being out of the competition for this year's Championship.


Dani Sordo comes right behind his teammate with their gap being only at two tenths of a second and he aims to win his home event.


Kalle Rovanpera competes the top five in the Shakedown times and he improved his time in the third pass.


Adrien Fourmaux set onlt the sixth fastest time in SD being the best driver for M-Sport. However, he had a stall at the roundabout just before the finish of the first pass of SD and it costed him around ten seconds.


Ott Tanak is in seventh position overall with his gap from Fourmaux being only at one tenth of a second.


Gus Greensmith, Takamoto Katsuta and Nil Solans compete the top ten.


Greensmith set an equal time with Tanak, but the last one was faster than the M-Sport driver for only some thousandths of a second.


Moreover, Solans is doing his debut in the main category of WRC this weekend with the Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC of the private team 2C Competition as he replaces Pierre-Louis Loubet following his car accident he had.


Finally, Oliver Solberg is out of the top ten in his tarmac debut in WRC with the Rally1 car of Hyundai.
