Solberg hints at a potential WRC return after his recent test [+video]

Petter Solberg describes the feelings he had after his test with the Volkswagen Polo GTI Rally2 on snow and is thinking of his return in World Rally Championship.

The Norwegian driver has become a WRC Champion only once with Subaru 21 years ago and his last outing was in Wales in 2019 when he drove a Volkswagen Polo GTI R5 where he stepped at the top step of the podium in WRC2 class. Solberg had the chance to test the Polo GTI Rally2 in Sweden today, just ten days before the start of the second WRC round. His video on Twitter shows him how he prepared to enter the car and his impressions after his first taste with the Polo, but the most important thing is that he answered with "maybe" when he was asked if he was thinking of returning back to action.

"The best feeling in the world!", Solberg said.

"It has been a long time since I have been behind the wheel of a rally car and there is no feeling quite like it - the passion I still have for this sport is immeasurable!"
