Sordo - Next season will be my last in WRC

Dani Sordo reveals that next season will be his last in WRC and he is being happy with the fact that he renewed his contract with Hyundai for 2022 with a partial programme.

The Spaniard driver has been competing in WRC for 16 seasons and 2022 will be his 17th season having won three times in his WRC career and having finished 49 times in the podium positions so far.

In fact, he became a partial drivier for Hyundai since 2018 when Sebastien Loeb joined the Korean squad for two seasons.

"It was what I wanted, and I think they are happy, too", Sordo said about his renewal with Hyundai.

"I like that they count on me and think that I can spend another year helping the team.

"I still keep the illusion intact, I keep leaving my skin, and it is something that I see when I do a test or arrive at a rally like the one in Catalonia.

"Without illusion this does not work.

"I don't want to do the whole championship, but I do want to do some races and collaborate with the team.

"Next will be my last season."
