Camilli working on returning to WRC2 in 2024

Eric Camilli admits that he is working on his possible return to World Rally Championship next year as he will compete in French Championship this season.

The Frenchman has many experience in WRC as he had sealed a programme at the top tier with M-Sport in 2016 while he has done many outings in WRC2 for Malcolm Wilson's team and Citroen Racing. From 2021 to 2022, he took part in six rallies totally with a Citroen C3 Rally2 by Sainteloc Racing and won only once in Spain two years ago. He has 50 starts in World Rally Championship and his best finish is the fifth place of Rally de Portugal seven years ago.

"I am training to be back", Camilli said.

"I will do the French Championship this season and aim to be back in WRC2 in 2024.

"The competition in the French Championship is really high, which is good for the level in the world championship.

"I have good experience in WRC2 and so many of the cars I developed are winning events now.

"My passion for the sport is the same like it always was.

"It is frustrating that I didn’t get the opportunity in WRC2, but I’m sure it will come and I will work to make it come for next season".
