Loeb confirms no plans for a WRC return at the moment

Sebastien Loeb says that he does not think of making his return in World Rally Championship this season as he is committed to the other series that he is competing.

The nine-time World Rally Champion participated with M-Sport Ford in a limited number of rallies last year and secured his 80th victory in the sport as he became the first winner in WRC hybrid era winning Rallye Monte Carlo for an eighth time in his career. However, he competed in Dakar Rally last January, therefore he was unable to secure a drive with the Puma for this year's Rallye Monte Carlo. Despite the fact that M-Sport Ford stated that the team was thinking of adding one more car with the view of helping Ott Tanak on the championship, Loeb's programme includes his participation in World Rallycross and World Rally-Raid while he made an outing with Cupra in ExtremeE. Finally, he had the chance to drive his all-electric World Rallycross Lancia Delta Evo at the Goodwood Festival of Speed which is held from 13 to 16 July.

"There is no plan at the moment", Loeb answered when he was asked if he had any WRC plans on the horizon.

"The plan at the moment is to come for one race", he said about ExtremeE.

"I had this proposition and Cupra asked me if I would be happy to do one round and I said yes.

"That is where we are at the moment and there is no plan for the future".
