The Route of Rally Sweden 2024



The organizers of Rally Sweden announced the route of their event for 2024 which will be held on February 15-18.

More specifically, the recce will last two days (Tuesday 13 February to Wednesday 14 February) where the crews will have the chance to make their final adjustments to their pacenotes. On Thursday 15 February, the Shakedown session will start at 9:01 am local time and will be held on HÃ¥kmark, a 5.45-Km stage which is the same as in 2023. Afterwards, the ceremony start will take place at Red Barn Arena at 18:40 while the fans will have the opportunity to get some autograph cards from the Rally1 drivers, but the time is yet to be confirmed. After the end of the ceremonial start, the crews will run throughout the superspecial stage "Umea Sprint" at night.

The real rally action begins on Friday with seven stages and 108,78 competitive kilometers in distance. The opening stage of the day will be the "#42 Brattby" where the organizers of Rally Sweden added Craig Breen's racing number on the stage name. "Norrby" will be the following stage after "#42 Brattby" while the organizers added a new stage, "Floda", which will be the longest stage of the day with 28,25 Km. These three stages will be repeated twice as the crews will pass throughout them in the morning and in the afternoon. However, the concluding stage of Friday will be "Umea Sprint".

Saturday includes seven stages and 126,74 competitive kilometers. Both loops include passes from "Vännäs", "Sarsjöliden" and "Bygdsiljum". The crews will run firstly from "Vännäs" which is a brand-new stage and afterwards will head to "Sarsjöliden" which is the longest stage of the rally, just five meters longer than "Floda". "Bygdsiljum" will be the third stage of the morning and the afternoon loop, but a part of that stage was running in 2023. "Umea" will be the final stage of the day with only one pass as the second one will be held on Sunday.

The final day of Rally Sweden contains three stages and 61,08 kilometers. The crews will start their day from "Västervik" in which the two passes from it will be back-to-back. It will be the longest stage of the day with 25,50 Km and is a brand-new stage, but a part of it was used in 2023. The second pass from "Umea" will host the Powerstage where the crews and the teams will be able to score some bonus points for the championships. At the end of PS, the winning crews will head to Red Barn Arena for the podium ceremony and the prize giving.

Totally, Rally Sweden of 2024 includes 18 stages and 301,76 competitive kilometers.
