The
organizers of Rally Estonia announced the route of their event which will be
held on July 17-20.
The recce
of Rally Estonia will last two days from Tuesday 15 July to Wednesday 16 July.
On Thursday 17 July, the crews will pass from the shakedown stage in Kastre. At
17:20 local time, an autograph session will be held for the fans and afterwards
there will be the ceremonial start. The first day of the rally typically starts
this day as the crews will run throughout a superspecial stage in Tartu.
The real
rally action starts on Friday with seven stages. The morning loop includes repeated
passes from two stages where “Peipsiaare” is the longest stage of the rally
with 24,35Km, but also it is the opening stage of this loop. In the afternoon,
the crews will pass from “Kambja” twice before heading to “Elva Linn”.
Saturday
includes nine stages in total. Two runs from “Raanitsa” and “Kanepi” are the morning
loop of that day. Afterwards, the itinerary includes the back-to-back passes
from “Otepaa” and “Karaski” while the day concludes with the “Tartu vald 2”.
Sunday
contains only three stages. “Hellenurme” is the opening stages of the final day
and will run for the first time in the World Rally Championship. Two runs from “Kaariku”
are the concluding stages of the rally and will define the Powerstage and the
SuperSunday winner. Afterwards, the top three crews will head to Kaariku for
the ceremonial podium.
