Adrien Fourmaux stole the fifth place from Esapekka Lappi at the end of Stage 17 as the last one was struggling to find pace with his i20N on Sunday. In fact, Fourmaux was ahead of the sixth Lappi for 3,4 seconds at the end of SS17, but finally finished 2,9 seconds ahead of EP.
Thierry Neuville does the 5-6-7 for Hyundai Motorsport and was chasen by the eighth Jon Armstrong as their gap was at 14,8 seconds in favor of the Belgian at the end of Saturday. We have to mention that Neuville received a one-minute time penalty on Saturday due to a helmet breach. Moreover, he was the fastest driver in Powerstage for 0,1 seconds ahead of Evans.
Josh McErlean remained in ninth position overall and made a mistake in Stage 17 as he ran wide in a corner.
Lorenzo Bertelli and Martins Sesks finished outside the top ten while the Latvian driver had an overshoot in Stage 17 resulting in dropping some seconds there. It must be mentioned that Sesks was fifth at SuperSunday standings after Stage 16.
