Rally Sardinia - Shakedown: Solberg beats Katsuta for 0,3s, Sordo hits trouble and retires on the 1st pass

At the end of the Shakedown session of Rally Sardinia, Oliver Solberg goes fastest with Takamoto Katsuta and Thierry Neuville following him.

Oliver Solberg improved his time on his second run from SD and left behind his teammate Takamoto Katsuta for three tenths of a second which means that Toyota holds the top two positions.

Thierry Neuville splits the party for Toyota drivers as he is third overall and just 0,1 seconds behind Katsuta.

Sebastien Ogier follows Neuville for 1,4 seconds and was far behind Neuville in order to do the 1-2-3 for Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT.

Adrien Fourmaux is in fifth position overall and finished the Shakedown session just 0,1 seconds adrift from the fourth Ogier.

Two tenths of a second separated the sixth Elfyn Evans from Fourmaux as the Welshman has great chances to become a WRC Champion for the first time in his career.

Martins Sesks is seventh overall and was the only Rally1 driver who passed four times from the Shakedown stage as the Latvian returns back to the wheel of the Ford Puma Rally1 since Rally Finland.

Sami Pajari, Josh McErlean and Jon Armstrong complete the top ten. However, it must be mentioned that McErlean was in second position overall after his first pass from SD.

Dani Sordo was forced to retire on his first run from the Shakedown session as the rear left suspension was badly damaged after a big impact on the left hand side of his i20N.
