The Route of Rally Sweden 2027

The organizers of Rally Sweden announced the route of their event which will be held on February 18-21.

Rally Sweden 2027 kicks off on Thursday with the return of one of the event’s most popular spectator attractions. The shakedown will once again be staged along the riverside promenade in central Umeå, allowing fans to get a close look at the world’s leading rally drivers and their cars before the competitive action begins. The evening programme features the official opening ceremony at The Red Barn Arena, followed by the rally’s first special stage. The longer Umeå stage will finish inside the arena, bringing the opening day to an exciting conclusion in front of the spectators.

Friday’s itinerary includes three stages that featured in the 2026 edition, although they will be tackled in a new order. The crews will begin with Bäck before moving on to Andersvattnet and Bygdsiljum. All three stages will be repeated during the afternoon, ahead of the final test of the day in Umeå. The action will then return to The Red Barn Arena for Umeå Sprint, offering fans another opportunity to watch the rally cars compete in the unique atmosphere of the arena.

Saturday’s programme opens with Vännäs, a well-established fixture on the Rally Sweden itinerary since the event moved to Umeå. However, the day will also introduce several notable changes. Sarsjöliden, which has been part of the route since the first Umeå-based edition in 2022, will be run in the opposite direction for the first time in 2027, giving the familiar stage a fresh challenge for the crews. Holmbäckssjön will also receive a significant update. Developed from the former Kolksele stage, the route retains much of its 2026 layout and begins at Pengfors Motorstadion. Its main new feature is a spectacular section running across the frozen lake at Holmbäckssjön. Both stages will be tackled twice before the day concludes with another run through Umeå Sprint at The Red Barn Arena.

The final day of Rally Sweden 2027 introduces another addition to the itinerary, with Risträsk making its debut as a special stage. The route features a completely new opening section before linking up with parts of the former Västervik stage, creating a fresh challenge for the crews as the event approaches its conclusion. Risträsk will be run twice, with the rally then heading to the longer Umeå stage for the decisive final test. The stage will once again serve as the Power Stage, offering the crews one last opportunity to secure valuable championship points.

In total, the Rally Sweden 2027 includes 18 stages, but the distance has not been confirmed yet.
