Adamo dissembles his 2022 plans for Solberg's future in Hyundai

The team principal of Hyundai Motorsport, Andrea Adamo, does not share the plans he has for Oliver Solberg's future in his team for next season hinting that the first one has already taken his decisions for 2022 driver line-up in WRC.

The Norwegian driver signed a two-year contract with Hyundai at the start of 2021 and he joined the Junior Driver Programme of the Korean team which includes several drivers such as himself, Pierre-Louis Loubet, Ole Christian Veiby, Jari Huttunen etc.

He currently competes in WRC2 category with the Hyundai i20 N Rally2 while he made his debut in WRC with the Rally1 car of the team at this year's Arctic Rally Finland.

Moreover, he was set to have another one outing with the Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC at Rally Sardinia, but he could not be there as he was self-isolated in a hotel in Portugal after his father, Petter, having tested positive for COVID-19.

However, Adamo said after Actic Rally Finland that Solberg might be behind the wheel of i20 Coupe WRC in more events this year as the last one impressed the Hyundai people with his performance in Finland.

"He has a contract with Hyundai Motorsport for next year, so we will see what he will do", Adamo told Motorsport.com.

"I have already made a decision.

"I said I have made a decision, not that I’m going to share that decision".

When asked about Breen’s a future and a possible move to M-Sport, Adamo said: "Ask Malcolm [Wilson, M-Sport Ford boss].”
