Katsuta and Williams pull out of Acropolis Rally Greece

Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT announced today that Takamoto Katsuta and Keaton Williams are forced not to start Acropolis Rally Greece as the last one has had to return home after an emergency call from his family.

Williams stepped up in Daniel Barritt's co-drive seat, because the regular co-driver of Katsuta was injured in his back at Rally Estonia and the doctors recommended him to stay home for recovery.

Therefore, Williams was alongside Katsuta in Belgium and it was expected to compete together in Greece as well.

However, Williams received an emergency call from his family and he had to return back in England so it is impossible for Katsuta to find a new co-driver one day jast before the start of Acropolis Rally Greece.

The next WRC event for Katsuta will be at Rally Finland in two weeks and it is scheduled that Williams will be alongside him again.

"Unfortunately Takamoto Katsuta and Keaton Williams will not start the Acropolis Rally after Keaton had to return home because of a family emergency", a statement from Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT read.

"It was not possible to bring in another co-driver at this late stage, so the decision was made to not take part in the rally.

"Sending Keaton our best wishes".
