Official: Safari Rally Kenya to remain on WRC calendar until 2026

FIA, WRC Promoter and the organizers of Safari Rally Kenya came to an agreement and signed a new contract in Monaco last Sunday.

More specifically, the organizers of Safari Rally Kenya extended their agreement with FIA and WRC Promoter for three more years which means that this event will be in World Rally Championship until 2026.

The African event returned to WRC calendar in 2021 after a 19-year absence and the winner of last year's event was Sebastien Ogier.

This year's Safari Rally Kenya will be hosted on June 23-26.

"It’s by far the longest contract we have ever signed and this sends a strong statement", Siebel said.

"After a break of 19 years there was a very strong comeback last year and there was a high motivation from both sides to make this long-term partnership happen.

"Now we have it.

"It’s such an iconic event and Kenya is a fantastic country with a variety of wildlife, nature and lovely people with a strong Safari heritage.

"The passion of the fans in neighbouring countries is so high and we’re delighted to be in Kenya for the next years".
