Skoda's Fabia RS Rally2 officially revealed



Skoda Motorsport unveiled today the brand-new Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 car which is based on the fourth generation of Skoda Fabia production car.


This new car has been tested in eight different countries and in many surfaces including snow, gravel and tarmac.


A 1.610-liter engine has been now fitted to the Fabia RS Rally2 with a maximum torque and power of 430 Nm and 214 kW which means that the engine capacity has been reduced from 2.0L to 1.6L. In addition to that, Skoda has optimised the bore stroke ratio, the exhaust system with the turbocharger and the inlet system with new intercooler, filter unit and airbox. Finally, thermodynamics have been improved while there is new electronic actuators and engine management software.


Last but not least, the new Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 has now a front-rear axle separation clutch which is work hydraulically and a sequential 5-speed transmission which allows gear changes in milliseconds.


To conclude with, it must be mentioned that Skoda Motorsport has produced the most successfar racing car in R5 and Rally2 class and is currently cooperating with Toksport WRT in WRC2 category.
