Toksport withdraws Bulacia's entry in Greece, Brynildsen steps in

Toksport WRT announced that Marco Bulacia will not take part in Acropolis Rally Greece next week and Eyvind Brynildsen will have Andreas Mikkelsen as his teammate.

The Bolivian driver had a big crash at Rally Van Staden earlier this month and was injured after this incident, but he is not able to be behind the wheel of a Skoda Fabia evo Rally2 in Greece as he is still recovering.

Therefore, the German-based team decided that the two-time Champion of Norway, Brynildsen, will replace Bulacia for this rally.

However, it must be mentioned that Brynildsen participated in Arctic Rally Finland of 2021 with Toksport again as Bulacia faced some visa issues with his travelling.

"First of all I wish Marco all the best in his recovery", Brynildsen said.

"I am very humbled and proud to have been given this chance again.

"I have to give a big thanks to Å koda and to Toksport for believing in me.

"They asked if I could come and of course I said yes - rallying is the best thing you can do with clothes on!

"I am quite sure they have made a good choice and I will do my best to make them proud.

"I’ve done the Acropolis three or four times.

"It’s a rough, long rally and I think Friday will be especially tough with no service through the day, so it will be about finding the balance between being consistent, fast and avoiding trouble".
