Julien Moncet says that Hyundai Motorsport faces a difficult situation to find a proper person for the team principal role and reveals that his future in the team is still unknown.
Julien Moncet joined Hyundai Motorsport back in 2014 when the Korean brand rejoined WRC and he promoted to the person who was in charge in powertrain division in 2019.
Since Andrea Adamo's departure from the Alzenau team at the end of 2021, the Koreans named Moncet as the deputy team principal for this season until they find a proper person for this role.
"Obviously it’s easier to try to figure out what will be our driver lineup next year than the team principal", Moncet said.
"It’s a weird situation that I’m not happy with, but it’s like that.
"I think anyway some decision will be taken soon and you will know in Monte Carlo, but before…
"I don’t know.
"It’s a very difficult question for me to answer.
"I have part of the answer, and I’m not sure we’ll meet a lot in the future".
