The WRC calendar for season 2023



FIA revealed today the calendar for the next year's World Rally Championship which includes 13 events.

More specifically, the WRC season will start with the classic Rallye Monte Carlo on January 19-22 while Sweden will follow after this historic rally as the winter rally of the season. Rally Mexico returns to WRC calendar after a two-year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but generally this event keeps its standard date as it was used to be held on March. Rally Croatia will host for the first time the fourth round of WRC as it was used to be the third round since 2020. Furthermore, WRC calendar of 2023 keeps its standard row as Rally Portugal, Rally Sardinia and Safari Rally Kenya follow after Rally Croatia. Rally Estonia and Rally Finland will be hosted in July and August respectively and the WRC drivers will try their driving skills in these two fast gravel rallies.

Ypres Rally Belgium is not anymore in WRC calendar, therefore Acropolis Rally is the next following event after Rally Finland and will be held on September 7-10. Rally Chile makes its return to World Rally Championship after the organizers having cancelled it two times (2020, 2021) due to the COVID-19 while it made its debut in WRC back in 2019. Central Europe Rally will replace Rally New Zealand and Rally Spain on October and three countries (Germany, Austria and Czech Republic) will host this event Rally Japan will be once again the season finale of the championship and will be the third full tarmac rally of 2023 as the majority of the events will be gravel.
