Official: Greensmith joins Toksport for 2023 after M-Sport exit

Toksport announced today that Gus Greensmith will drive the new Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 this year after signing a full-season programme with the team in WRC2 class.

M-Sport Ford decided not to renew Greensmith's WRC contract for 2023 who was driving a Ford car for eight years in a row. The Cumbrian-based team announced Ott Tanak and Pierre-Louis Loubet as its drivers for the top class while Adrien Fourmaux and Gregoire Munster will compete in WRC2 class driving the Ford Fiesta MKII Rally2. Although it was tipped that Greensmith would rent the fourth Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 in some rallies this year after Takamoto Katsuta will share the third car with Sebastien Ogier, eventually the first one will have Oliver Solberg and Marco Bulacia as his teammates at Toksport. Finally, Francois Delecour will drive the new Fabia Rally2 in Monte Carlo while there is still one available seat in Toksport as the team used to have four cars during a WRC2 season.

"A new chapter with Toksport WRT & Å koda Motorsport", Greensmith said.

"El primero es Rally México.

"Finally, after 8 years in a Ford, it’s time for something new & that’s the Skoda Fabia RS Rally 2.

"This year's WRC2 championship will be by far the most competitive it has ever been and so i’m really happy with the programme that’s been put together with TokSport & Skoda; I’ll be spending a lot of time in the seat this year, that’s for sure.

"For now I’ll be focused with testing until we start our season at Rally Mexico in March".
