Early for M-Sport Ford to add another part-time driver to the 2023 line-up

The team principal of M-Sport Ford, Richard Millener, says that it is early on the season to decide if his team will bring another driver as they are fully focusing on offering to Ott Tanak a proper car.

The Cumbria-based team announced Ott Tanak and Pierre-Louis Loubet as its nominated drivers for 2023 and offered to Jourdan Serderidis a four-rally programme which means that Sebastien Loeb lost his chance to compete again with the Ford Puma Rally1. In addition to that, it must be mentioned that they did not renew Gus Greensmith's contract, who was at the squad for eight years, meaning that their interest is to develop further their car for the 2019 WRC Champion. After the end of Rally Mexico, M-Sport Ford remains third overall on manufacturers' standings and is behind the second Hyundai for 27 points.

"Certainly if we do use anyone else, it will be later in the season when potentially we need to take points off our conceptions", Millener answered when he was asked if it is possible for Sebastien Loeb to drive a Puma in 2023.

"But at the moment all of the resources are going into Ott to make things as good as possible for him".
