Greensmith to do further tests with Skoda after Mexico

Gus Greensmith says that Skoda Motorsport has scheduled an additional development test for him which will be held this week.

The British driver won his first rally of the season in Mexico last weekend and finished ahead of the 2022 WRC2 Champion, Emil Lindholm, for 32,6 seconds. Generally, he stayed out of trouble during this gravel event and was leading for much of the rally in the second class of WRC, but it must be mentioned that this was the first time that he drove another car due to the fact that he had been at M-Sport Ford for eight years.

After the end of Rally Mexico, Skoda Motorsport and Toksport have scheduled a development test for him in Spain this week while he will have the chance to try the Fabia RS Rally2 on tarmac as he will take part in a rally of Czech championship and will have one day to test his car before this event there.

His next outing of this season in WRC2 class will be Rally Croatia on April 20-23!

"We're leaving straight from Mexico to go to Spain to test with Å koda", Greensmith said.

"The weekend after that, we're going straight to Croatia for some testing.

"We’ll also do a small rally there before some further testing.

"So, in total, we’ll have three days of testing plus a day and a half of a rally.

"I’m not missing any seat time".
