Which is Tanak's target for Rally Mexico considering his road position?

Ott Tanak reveals that his target for Rally Mexico is to gain some places on Friday with the view of starting behind other drivers on Saturday considering his road position.

The Estonian driver is leading the drivers' championship over Kalle Rovanpera for three points at the end of Rally Sweden and has to open the stages on Friday at Rally Mexico which means that he will lose some time in comparison with his rivals due to the fact that he has to clean the road. However, this gravel event will be a challenge for all teams as it will be their first time in Mexico since WRC entered to hybrid era. Every driver has stated that the hybrid unit will play crucial role due to the extra power that provides as the Rally1 cars will have less horsepower there because of the high altitude.

"Let’s see how it works out", Tanak said.

"For sure the Friday is quite crucial for us.

"I’ve seen before when you open the road here you can do a perfect day and you can still be quite far in the order.

"First the target is to get some cars in front of us for Saturday morning and from there on we need to try and climb back".
