Breen's funeral to be held on Tuesday



The family of Craig Breen announced that his funeral will take place in Ireland on Tuesday 18 April.

The sudden pass of Craig Breen on Thursday 13 April has saddened the motorsport community as he has the talent to fight for WRC victories and a huge passion for rallying and has been distinguished for his temperament as well as for his interviews at the end of stages. His instantaneous death happened during his pre-event for Rally Croatia when he went off the road and hit a wooden pole with the front left end of his Hyundai i20N Rally1. Accoriding to unofficial sources, the wooden pole hit him on the head as it was passed throughout his side window, but the authorities' investigations are still going on.

"Craig will be reposing in his home (X91 F9C9) on Monday, 17th April, from 2.30pm until 9pm", family's statement said. 

"Craig's removal will take place on Tuesday, 18th April, walking from his home at 12.15pm to The Sacred Heart Church, Ferrybank, arriving for Requiem Mass at 1pm followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery".
