Croatia very likely to be at WRC calendar for many years

The WRC event director, Simon Larkin, says that Croatia Rally will be 100% included to next year's calendar and WRC Promoter aims to sign a multi-year deal with the organizers of the event.

Croatia Rally joined World Rally Championship back in 2021 for the first time and only Toyota drivers have been successful in Zagreb as Sebastien Ogier and Kalle Rovanpera were the winners in 2021 and 2022 respectively while Elfyn Evans claimed his first victory in hybrid era last weekend. It is very early in the season for FIA to finalize the WRC calendar for 2024, but USA is likely to rejoin the series while Chile will remain a hosted country. Great Britain is still fighting to make its return to WRC while WRC Promoter is interesting in adding one country from Middle East to the calendar. Monte Carlo, Sweden, Chile, Greece and Latvia will for sure held a WRC round in 2024 as these countries' contracts are still in valid for many years.

"It is very strong", Larkin said referring to the future of Croatia Rally.

"We are working towards a multi-year renewal.

"I think even on Thursday the crowd numbers here was great.

"I think this event has grown on Croatia and Peter and I were lucky enough to go out to the stages and as we flew in there were lots of people.

"Absolutely it will be on the calendar next year 100%".
