Why Solberg decided not to score points in Croatia?

Oliver Solberg says that the reason why he will score no points in Croatia is because he wants to get more experience for this event.

The Swede driver has competed in three rallies so far this season in which he did not score any point in Monte Carlo as this classic round was not in his WRC2 campaign to score points for the championship. In Sweden and Mexico, he scored 28 and 15 points respectively as he won his home event and took the three extra points from PS while he finished at the lowest place of the podium on the third WRC round. His next outing will be Rally Croatia this weekend, but once again his intention is to get experience for this tarmac event meaning that he will not be a nominated driver for Toksport.

"We took some good experience from Monte for the asphalt and in some ways Croatia is quite similar in the sort of demands you make on the car: you need a car that’s going to give you confidence and speed when the grip level can be changing all of the time", Solberg said.

"Croatia’s not a rally I have so much experience of, so we decided to take this one for the experience".
