Ogier ready to fight for the WRC title if he has the chance

Sebastien Ogier says that he feels ready to grab the opportunity to fight for this year's championship if he is still close to his full-season rivals, but believes that it will be a long shot.

The eight-time World Rally Champion is leading the championship with Elfyn Evans as both of them have 69 points, but the Frenchman is the leader after having won two events so far this season in comparison with his teammate who claimed his first victory of the year in Croatia last month. Last but not least, Ogier set an amazing pace in Croatia as he set the fastest time in seven from twenty stages and could fight for the victory there if he did not suffer from a puncture in Stage 2.

"I say to them, as long as they wait for me, I’m happy to come at the end of the year and fight on the last two rallies, maybe win the championship!", Ogier said.

"But it’s going to be a long, long shot".
