Rally Estonia - 1st Day: Joint lead for Evans and Lappi as Tanak wins Tartu stage



At the end of the first day, Elfyn Evans and Esapekka Lappi have a joint lead with Kalle Rovanpera following them.

Elfyn Evans and Esapekka Lappi set identical times on the superspecial stage of Rally Estonia which was held in Tartu, but the Toyota driver is first overall as he is upper on the drivers' standings than EP.

Kalle Rovanpera completes the top three and left Thierry Neuville behind for nine tenths of a second.

Takamoto Katsuta is in fifth place overall and is the third driver of Toyota for this weekend as Sebastien Ogier chose not to compete in Estonia.

Teemu Suninen follows the Japanese driver on his debut with Hyundai in hybrid era.

Pierre-Louis Loubet is seventh overall and is the best M-Sport Ford driver after his teammate being penalized.

Ott Tanak is outside the top ten after his having received a five-minute time penalty for taking a new engine after the end of Shakedown, but he was the fastest driver in Stage 1.
