Acropolis Rally - 2nd Day - 1st Loop: Neuville leads Toyota duo as Loubet did not start in SS2



At the end of the morning loop, Thierry Neuville is the new leader of Acropolis Rally with Kalle Rovanpera and Sebastien Ogier following him.

Thierry Neuville took the lead of Acropolis Rally in Stage 2 as he was the fastest driver there, but he did not manage to repeat his success in Pissia as he set the third-fastest time in Stage 3.

Kalle Rovanpera lost only one place since yesterday and is now second overall, two seconds behind Neuville. In fact, he dropped to fourth place at the end of SS2, but he bounced back in SS3 by setting the fastest time there despite the fact that he had a huge moment.

Sebastien Ogier completes the top three and was behind Ott Tanak for only 0,1 seconds at the end of SS2.

Ott Tanak was second overall after SS2, but he lost two places at the end of SS3, while he was the fourth-fastest driver in these two stages. 

Elfyn Evans gained seven positions since the end of the superspecial stage at Water Square and is currently at the top five. The Welshman lost 6,6 seconds on the opening stage of Friday as he reached the stop line with the rear-right tyre off the rim.

Esapekka Lappi dropped from second to sixth overall at the end of the morning loop as he was not able to match the time of his rivals.

Dani Sordo follows his teammate for 1,7 seconds while he was fifth overall at the end of SS2 and was ahead of Evans and Lappi for 0,1 and 0,2 seconds respectively after the end of the first morning stage.

Takamoto Katsuta, Yohan Rossel and Sami Pajari complete the top ten.

Katsuta had a big moment in SS3 when a big compression sent his Yaris flying through the air, but he managed to save his car and to continue on the stage.

Pierre-Louis Loubet did not start in Stage 2 as he faced issues starting his Puma in parc ferme and was stopped on the liaison section woth a technical issue.
