As the championship
heads to the eleventh WRC round of the season, Kalle Rovanpera can clinch his
second consecutive title in World Rally Championship at Rally Chile next week,
but how will this happen?
First of
all, Ott Tanak is out of contention on the fight for this year’s championship
as he has very small chances to become a WRC Champion for a second time in his
career since 2019. On the other hand, Thierry Neuville is 66 points behind the
championship leader Kalle Rovanpera after the end of Acropolis Rally, therefore
the Belgian must recover 24 points in Chile compared to the 2022 WRC Champion.
On the other hand, Elfyn Evans is the closest rival to his teammate as their
gap is at 33 points, therefore Rovanpera still can be crowned the 2023 WRC
Champion in Chile if he manages to score 27 points more than Evans.
