Loubet tested the new Toyota GR Yaris Rally2 [+photo]

Pierre-Louis Loubet had the chance to spend a day inside the new Toyota GR Yaris Rally2 making the things more complicated about which is his plan for 2024.

The Corsican driver secured his first ever WRC full-season with M-Sport Ford in 2023, but he and the team decided not to take part in Rally Japan a month ago resulting in Adrien Fourmaux replacing him on the season finale. Although it is speculated that he will continue with the Malcolm Wilson's team next year, Toyota gave him the opportunity to test the brand-new GR Yaris Rally2 in Alps today. He has not revealed his plans for 2024 yet as his Rally1 seat with the Puma depends on how many sponsors will secure, thus he examines all the available options ahead of the new season. On the other hand, Toyota wants to get as many feedbacks as it can with the intention of developing further its Rally2 car and of making it more competitive. Apart from Kalle Rovanpera, Takamoto Katsuta, Norihiko Katsuta, Elfyn Evans, Jari-Matti Latvala and Juho Hanninen, the Japanese team scheduled tests with the Rally2 car with many drivers including Sami Pajari, Loubet and Stephane Lefebvre.
