Skoda to introduce major upgrades to the Fabia from Safari Rally

Skoda Motorsport reveals the changes that the team did on Fabia RS Rally2 in order to help its drivers on their fight for the WRC2 title.

Toksport continues running Skoda Motorsport's team in WRC2 class and has announced Gus Greensmith, Oliver Solberg, Pierre-Louis Loubet and Erik Cais as its drivers for this season. The Czech car brand will bring major upgrades to the Rally2 car for the first time which are related to the gearbox, the aerodynamics and the absorbers. The purpose of these changes is for Skoda to make a more reliable and competitive car, but there are still many homologation jokers available for use for the rest of this year. Cais had the chance to test some new gravel shock absorbers in Portugal whereas Solberg tried new aerodynamic solutions and longer gear ratios in Scandinavia. In fact, the young driver from Sweden claimed the first victory of the season for Skoda Motorsport and Toksport at his home event and Kenya will be his third consecutive outing with the Fabia.
