Rally Sardinia - Shakedown: Neuville pips down his rivals by far, Evans 8th



At the end of the Shakedown session of Rally Sardinia, Thierry Neuville is the fastest driver in Ittiri with Ott Tanak and Sebastien Ogier following him.

Thierry Neuville tops the Shakedown times and improved his performance by two tents of second on his third run from SD stage.

Ott Tanak does the 1-2 for Hyundai Motorsport and his aim is to score more points than Elfyn Evans for the championship in order to steal the second place from the Toyota driver.

Sebastien Ogier completes the top three and was only one tenth of a second slower than Tanak.

Dani Sordo follows the eight-time WRC Champion for five tenths of a second and wants to repeat his success in Italy as he has won Rally Italia Sardegna for two consecutive years. 

Takamoto Katsuta set identical time with Sordo at the Shakedown session, but the Japanese was slower for some thousandths of a second which means that he is in fifth place.

Pierre-Louis Loubet is sixth overall despite the fact that he is competing with a Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 and left Adrien Fourmaux behind for 0,3 seconds.

Elfyn Evans, Martin Prokop and Gregoire Munster complete the top ten.
