Toksport and Oliver Solberg appealed a protest against DG port and Yohan Rossel as the stewards gave to the last one a new time for Stage 11 at Rally Chile.
Solberg and Elliott Edmondson stopped in Stage 11 in order to change a puncture and immediately started moving again, but Rossel was stuck on their dust as it was the following car. The stewards decided to give to Rossel 40 seconds back on his time which means that the Frenchman moved up to the first place on the WRC2 classification. Toksport and Solberg decided to protest against this decision as they thought that the 40 seconds were too much time and wanted the stewards to correct their initial decision. However, the stewards examined this protest and rejected it, thus Rossel keeps his win in Chile and remains twelve points behind the championship leader Solberg on WRC2 standings. Last bit not least, Solberg is very close in becoming the WRC2 Champion of 2024 while his next outing with the Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 will be in Central Europe next month.
