Acropolis Rally - 4th Day: Tanak delivers Hyundai's first win of the season

At the end of Sunday, Ott Tanak is the winner of Acropolis Rally with Sebastien Ogier and Adrien Fourmaux completing the podium positions.

Ott Tanak brought the first win of the season for Hyundai Motorsport and was unstoppable today by setting the fastest time on the first two stages of Sunday. He lost the first place at SuperSunday due to a gearbox issue in PS.

Sebastien Ogier secures the second place at Acropolis Rally and was the fastest driver in SS16 and in Powerstage. Also, he overtook Tanak on the SuperSunday standings at the end of Powerstage which means that he scored the 5 bonus points.

Adrien Fourmaux returned back to the podium positions since Rallye Monte Carlo five months ago while he lost some seconds compared to Evans on the first Sunday stages.

Elfyn Evans finished fourth overall despite the fact that he opened five stages on Friday. After Acropolis Rally, he is still leading the championship standings.

Thierry Neuville completes the top five and the drama continued for the Belgian who broke a damper in Stage 15 and suffered from engine issues in Stage 16.

Martins Sesks, Josh McErlean, Kalle Rovanpera and Takamoto Katsuta are outside the top 10.

Rovanpera was not able to score points on SuperSunday as he lost almost two minutes in SS15 due to the fact that he stopped to change a rear left puncture.

Katsuta received a time penalty for starting early in Stage 16 as his intention was to help Rovanpera scoring points in Powerstage while he suffered from a front left puncture on the final stage of rally and stopped to change it.

The front left tyre of Sesks was off the rim in Powerstage.

M-Sport Ford withdrew Gregoire Munster's car at the end of Saturday due to fuel supply issues.
