As the championship heads to the penultimate WRC round of the season, Elfyn Evans can clinch his maiden title in World Rally Championship, but how the Welshman can become a WRC Champion at Rally Japan?
Elfyn Evans is heading to Rally Japan with a 13-point lead over his teammates Sebastien Ogier and Kalle Rovanpera. Thierry Neuville is mathematically out of contention to defend his WRC crown as he is 81 points behind the championship leader. The Welshman can clinch his first WRC title in Japan if he can score more than 23 points compared to his teammates. On the other hand, Tanak has still the chance at the championship and has to score more than 16 points compared to Evans in Japan in order to keep fighting for the title in Saudi Arabia.
