Rallye Monte Carlo - 3rd Day - 2nd Loop: Solberg retains his lead despite a late call, Evans away from Ogier



At the end of Saturday evening, Oliver Solberg is closing in securing his second victory in World Rally Championship with Elfyn Evans and Sebastien Ogier following him.

Oliver Solberg remains the rally leader despite the fact that he slid off the road in Stage 12 resulting in being stuck for 10 seconds there. Despite this incident, he managed to be the quickest driver in SS12.

Elfyn Evans kept Sebastien Ogier behind for 26 seconds as the last one decided not to take unnecessary risks in Stage 12 which means that he dropped time compared to Evans.

Adrien Fourmaux is still the top driver for Hyundai Motorsport as he sits in fourth position and set the fastest time in Stage 13. However, the Frenchman had a spin in Stage 12.

Thierry Neuville does the 4-5 for Hyundai Motorsport and also had a spin in Stage 12.

Jon Armstrong is in sixth position overall on his debut in World Rally Championship while he had a small stop 13,4Km into Stage 12.

Leo Rossel, Gregoire Munster and Takamoto Katsuta complete the top 9.

Munster spun at 5,42Km into Stage 12 resulting in losing some seconds. Also, he had a spin and a stall in Stage 13.

Hayden Paddon dropped six places in Stage 12 and is outside the top ten as he went off the road 5,7Km into Stage 12. He was pushed back on the road after three minutes by the spectators. 

Josh McErlean is outside the top ten as he received two time penalties for restarting under the SuperRally regulations.

Sami Pajari had an accident 1,4Km into Stage 12 and got stuck into the snow before his car ending up in a tree.
