Norwegian rally star Andreas Mikkelsen returns to the forefront of the FIA World Rally Championship’s premier support category in 2026, re-joining Toksport to compete in the WRC2 Championship.
After a
lighter 2025 campaign, Mikkelsen is back behind the wheel of a Škoda Rally2
machine, lining up with his new co-driver Jørn Listerud for the season opener
at the Safari Rally Kenya. Mikkelsen is no stranger to success in WRC2. He has
previously won the championship in this category and enjoyed multiple victories
and strong results with Škoda-prepared Rally2 cars during earlier stints with
Toksport and Škoda Motorsport. For 2026, Mikkelsen will compete for Toksport
WRT, a highly experienced customer team closely linked with Škoda, which runs
Škoda Fabia Rally2 cars for several drivers. In recent seasons, Toksport has
been a strong contender in WRC2, helping drivers and teams fight for podiums
and titles.
