Rally Sweden - 3rd Day - 2nd Loop: Evans strengthens victory bid, 4th-place battle intensifies

At the end of Saturday afternoon, Elfyn Evans remains the rally leader in Sweden with Takamoto Katsuta and Sami Pajari following him.

Elfyn Evans increased further his lead over Takamoto Katsuta by setting the fastest time in Stage 13.

Katsuta remains second overall and complained about his set-up as he was not able to find grip with his tyres.

Sami Pajari reels in Katsuta as he set the fastest time in Stage 12 and 14. Their gap is at 12,1 seconds with only one day remaining until the end of Rally Sweden.

Oliver Solberg fought hard with the fifth Esapekka Lappi for the fourth place as their margin was at 5,5 seconds at the end of Stage 12 in favor the Swede driver. However, Solberg ran wide in a corner of Stage 14.

Adrien Fourmaux was trying to hunt Lappi for the fifth position overall, but EP managed to stay ahead of Fourmaux.

Thierry Neuville keeps the seventh position overall and reported understeer at the end of Stage 13 while he lost the power 6 Km before the end of Stage 14. However, he was the fastest driver in SS15.

Josh McErlean and Jon Armstrong complete the top nine.

Armstrong had a moment after the flying finish of Stage 12 as he went straight into a snowbank.

Lorenzo Bertelli and Martins Sesks are outside the top ten while the Italian driver had a spin in Stage 14 as he lost the rear of his Yaris.

Sesks damaged the front left of his car in Stage 12 and had a water pressure alert at the end of Stage 15, but his mechanics did not worry about that.
