Hyundai pays tribute to Craig Breen with emotional WRC livery [+photos]

Hyundai Shell Mobis World Rally Team will debut a special livery at Croatia Rally (April 9–12) in tribute to Irish Hyundai Motorsport driver Craig Breen, who tragically lost his life during a pre-event test for the same rally in 2023.

Created by Hyundai Motor Europe’s Technical Centre design team in collaboration with Hyundai Motorsport, the design is part of a series of one-off liveries planned for the 2026 FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) season. It features portraits of Breen across the sides and roof of the Hyundai i20 N Rally1, along with an enlarged version of the familiar “For Craig” decal and a tribute line inspired by his iconic phrase, “flat to the square right.”

The livery also honors the Craig Breen Foundation, established in 2023 to support and develop emerging Irish rally talent. The initiative provides multi-year backing for the Irish J1000 Forestry Series, including a prize fund and high-level coaching.

Throughout the season, Breen’s memory will continue to be celebrated with a “ForCraig” emblem displayed on the rear of all three cars at every round, as well as through “Breenie” hats worn by team members during colder events.
