Evans and Rovanpera tested the 2022 Toyota Rally1 car for first time

According to the source of DirtFish.com, Elfyn Evans and Kalle Rovanpera drove the next year's Toyota Rally1 contender for the first time in Monte Carlo this week.

Juho Hanninen was the only driver so far who had been behind the wheel of 2022 hybrid Yaris and he was trying to develop this car with the aim to make it more competitive before the start of next season.

The Japanese team decided to make a step forward and it put Evans and Rovanpera behind the wheel of the 2022 conterder this week with the intention of taking more feedback by its full-programme drivers.

However, it is understood that Sebastien Ogier will not test this car this week and there is no rush for him to test it as he will be a part-time driver next year.
