Rally Monza - 2nd Day - 2nd Loop: Title fight fires up as Ogier topping and closest to eighth title



At the end of the afternoon loop of the second day, Sebastien Ogier reclaimed his lead from Elfyn Evans with Dani Sordo completing the top three.


Sebastien Ogier is still leading Rally Monza after the end of second day. However, he lost his lead from Elfyn Evans at the end of Stage 12, but he took it back at the end of Stage 13. Their gap is now at five tenths of a second.


Elfyn Evans is second overall and he stole the lead from Ogier at the end of Stage 12 as he was the fastest driver in this stage. In fact his leading gap from Ogier was only at three tenths of a second after Stage 12.


Dani Sordo remains in third position overall and he was the fastest driver in Stage 13.


Thierry Neuville follows his teammate and their gap is at 19,2 seconds.


Oliver Solberg completes the top five and he remains ahead of Takamoto Katsuta for 17,6 seconds.


Katsuta did a mistake in Stage 12 and he lost 4,8 seconds there as he went off the track section.


Teemu Suninen remains in seventh position overall and he did not make any mistake in this loop.


Gus Greensmith is eighth overall and he decreased his gap from his former teammate, Suninen, despite the fact that he lost 11,7 seconds in Stage 12 where he had a spin and he stalled his Fiesta.


Kalle Rovanpera is only in ninth position overall and he was asked by Toyota to drive slowly throughout the weekend in case of something happens to his teammates.


Adrien Fourmaux is outside the top ten as he restarted today under the regulations of Rally2. In Stage 12, he overshot a right hander and he had to stop and to reverse resulting in dropping 13,2 seconds there.
