Hirvonen not interested in returning to WRC after Loeb's triumph

Mikko Hirvonen says that Sebastien Loeb's win in Monte Carlo does not make him excited for a potential return to WRC in 2022 as he is being happy with the things he is occupied with.

The Finn driver had won 15 events in his WRC career and his last full-season in World Rally Championship was in 2014 when he was driving for M-Sport.

In 2015, he joined X-Raid Mini and he took part in Dakar Rally with this team for three years while nowadays he is the supervisor of the Toyota young program and is member of Kalle Rovanpera's gravel crew.

"I might do some fun historic rallies or autocross but there are no plans", Hirvonen said.

"For the moment I'm happy enough to see my boys doing their training and be part of their hobbies, and commit more to the Toyota young driver programme.

"That is enough for me.

"Hats off to Sebastien Loeb.

"He did a fantastic rally in Monte Carlo.

"It hasn't got me excited to do comeback or anything".
