Rally Sweden - Shakedown: Rovanpera edges Tanak on snow



At the end of the Shakedown session of Rally Sweden, Kalle Rovanpera was the fastest driver as Hyundai duo following his pace.


Kalle Rovanpera is the fastest driver of the Shakedown session of Rally Sweden setting his best time in the third pass of SD.


Ott Tanak is only in second position overall and was only three tenths of a second slower than Rovanpera.


Thierry Neuville completes the top three in the shakedown times and he was five tenths of a second slower than his teammate. However, the Belgian driver dropped four minutes in his first pass as he gt stuck on a snow bank. According to him, he got caught under braking, he went wide and eventually he ended up on a snow bank.


Craig Breen was the fourth fastest driver and was the best M-Sport Ford driver in this session. However, he went off the road around 6 Kilometers into his second pass and got stuck on a snow bank resulting in dropping two minutes.


Gus Greensmith completes the top five and he ran four times into the shakedown stage as Breen did.


Takamoto Katsuta comes right behind him and his gap from Greensmith is only at one tenth of a second.


Elfyn Evans and Oliver Solberg set an equal time for the seventh position, but the first one was faster for some thousandths of a second, so the Toyota driver is the seventh fastest in the shakedown.


Oliver Solberg, Esapekka Lappi and Adrien Fourmaux complete the top ten.
