Lappi does not have big expectations for Rally Estonia

Esapekka Lappi does not have any big expectations for the upcoming WRC event in Estonia considering the fact that he did not compete last year there.

The Finn driver did not have the chance to take part in last year's Rally Estonia as he did not have a contract with a WRC team, but he is familiar with the fast gravel roads as he has spent major time in such roads in his country, Finland.

Lappi has taken part in three events so far this season while Rally Estonia and Rally Finland will be his fourth and fifth outing respectively with the Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 in 2022.

"I’m really looking forward to being in the car for these next two events, and especially my home rally in Finland of course", Lappi said.

"Estonia will not be so easy as I didn’t do the rally last year, so there are some stages that will be new for me.

"I believe I can do well there, but I’m not going into it with any big expectations.

"So far this year we have had good pace on every surface but I haven’t always been able to put it together.

"Therefore the main goal for Estonia is just to have a good, clean rally".
