Andreas Mikkelsen hopes that Skoda and Toksport have solved the reliability issues of Fabia evo Rally2 for Rally Estonia after the last two retirements he had this season.
The Norwegian driver was leading WRC2 class, but he lost the lead over Kajetan Kajetanowicz at the end of Safari Rally Kenya as the first one had two DNFs in row.
More specifically, his DNFs were caused due to an engine problem resulting in being unable to continue his race in Portugal and Sardinia.
Mikkelsen is currently fourth overall on WRC2 drivers' championship with 51 points and his gap from the first Kajetanowicz is at 15 points.
"I am confident in the team and I believe they have solved the issue we had in the last couple of rallies", Mikkelsen said.
"I hope the car will be reliable this time, and it’s only up to Torstein and I to deliver a good result.
"The pressure is high after our two DNFs and it really means that, for the rest of our rallies, we can not have any mistakes.
"Our jokers are used and we have to try to aim for the top spot.
"That’s definitely our aim this weekend".
